Hamlet - The Movie Review.

1)There is no doubt in the movie of  ‘Hamlet’  to faithful to the original play in dialogues though there  are vast differences in settings and background also which attract to audience a lot.
2)I think after watching movie, there is the most clear picture of the characters and situations. We can’t imagine the behavior , pitch of language while we are reading.

Examples :

While we are reading Hamlet’s character, we can’  imagine his behavior in particular situations .How suddenly he becomes  angry  and though he control his emotions and feelings .we clearly see that what kinds of expression and voice of  language. Sometimes  it is possible for us that we do not turn at soon  one scene to another but movie defines it very well.

3)Yes, I   feel ‘aesthetic delight’ while scene of ‘Grave Digging ‘takes place in movie because I think somewhere I get ‘comic relief’ also . and that is described the ordinary people as  intellectual.
4)I have different kind of feeling with every characters. I have sympathy  for Ophelia  because she gets madness,  for Polonius , and while Hamlet  died , I feel Catharsis.

5) Yes, definitely screening of movie help me in better understanding of the play because while reading we can’t imagine the particular expressions, settings , and  behavior of character like…..

How Hamlet behaves in particular situations ?

Sometimes he looks very sentimental, sometimes mad, and sometimes scholar also. This we define in movie clearly.

6)Yes, the symbolically represents the title of the movie  ‘Hamlet’  and the first scene of the Statue of Hamlet attract to me because of this i understand  the Circle of Nature.

7)If I am the director of the movie , I want to start movie from the scene of ‘’ Claudius Prayer’’ and want to use the flashback technique and I try to make an ‘Individual Tragedy’ of all characters  not only the centre of one’s tragedy – Hamlet.

8)When at the beginning  of the movie, we  see the Hamlet’s  statue that represents that it is the most important part of the whole play without dialogue . it is interconnection of the story.  One can decide that there is the story of Royal family.

And at the end of the story, when Statue breaks down to dust means.. now in Denmark  there is no race of his family.  In Denmark, there is the New  Sunrise of the king.  Breaks down Hamlet’s statue shows the ‘ CIRCLE OF LIFE.’

9)While studying the play through movie, I apply Formalist approach and Moral and Philosophical approach. Because in Formalist approach, we see that there is the vast differences in “ What Hamlet wants to do ? and What he does? Hamlet traps in situation and he constantly thinks only what he wants to do  but he can’t do anything until the final scene.  We find hamlet as ‘Every man’.

In Moral and Philosophical approach, we find that because of this approach, Hamlet delays his revenge.
Example:  while Claudius prayer to God –Almighty , Hamlet thinks and he can’t kill his uncle while he does prayer because of his high morality thinking.

10) I apply Psychological approach and Moral and Philosophical approach  in pre- viewing task in the play. In psychological approach , I find the struggle between conscious and subconscious mind of Hamlet and gets the madness. There is conflict between high morality and practicality.

Mahotu is a title story of National Award Winning story collection written by Raam Mori . Web film is directed by Vijaygiri Bava.   Mahotu   is the reflection of women's life. The story has two different perspective on same situation.  It depends on us how to deal with it. માધવ ક્યાંય નથી !

માધવ ક્યાંય નથી .......                                  -    હરિન્દ્ર દવે          ‘Madhav  Kyay nathi’  is written by very renowned writer Harindra Dave. The title of the novel – itself suggest something. I think there are two aspect of the title. First , he is not at any particular place means that he is omniscient . And second meaning is that he is no where!               The plot of the novel also deals with this idea and gradually reveals the whole events of Krishna’s life. The story  of the novel reveals not only Krishna’s journey from his birth but also with him we find the journey of Naradmuni who wants to meet Krishna but unfortunately he can’t.                 The novel based on only Naradmuni’s desire or extreme eagerness to meet Krishn...
