Respected Sir,
Very interesting, 'Unput downable' novel written by Dan Brown. 'The Da Vinci Code' is the novel which
reconstructed the idea of Feminine Scarcity.
It is wonderful 'Suspense Thriller '. It is not anti - Christian
novel. So many things go together . Here We find something worthy which lies within us and we are
wandering outside to find it. Knowledge comes within when time comes. Dawn
comes when it realises from the within.
"
Varsho thi Ho je Shodhta , Hoy e Pag ni tale am Pan Bne.."
Narrative structure firmly
bound with spiritual thinking not religions standpoint because both are
different things. The message is hidden
inside that divinity is also achieved by body. Then Why Mind is considered as privilege
over Body ? Pagan rituals are more important in the world.
Here I share my Views regarding three questions
of the text :
1. (If)You have studied ‘Genesis’ (The Bible), ‘The Paradise Lost’ (John
Milton) and ‘The Da Vinci Code’ (Dan Brown). Which of the narrative/s seem/s to
be truthful? Whose narrative is convincing to the contemporary young mind?
All
Three Books are written in different ages. 'Genesis' , 'The Paradise Lost' and
' The Da Vinci Code' have different narrative structure though the centre of
the story is same. Earlier time people
blindly follow the religion without any questions and they have fear of
happening with them if they don't follow the particular religion and ritual. In Bible - God is Everything. It's all about
religions . No space for human beings. And 'Genesis' stands for that era and
it is also known as " Dark Age". Then , Milton came with same story
but with some different perspective. He
defines Male in centre and defines the role of Men and Women. Now, in 21st
century the best novel is written by Dan Brown whose narration of entire story
is conveyed with reasons and arguments which he puts in the text. He deals with the entire history of Christianity.
Though it is speculative work some pieces of truth lies are there. Reader must
have to think about it and it gives more ideas rather than previous two.
So, Having studied three books , Dan Brown's narrative of the novel "The
Da Vinci Code" seems more truthful to the contemporary young mind.
2. What harm has been done to humanity by the
biblical narration or that of Milton’s in The Paradise Lose? What sort of
damage does narrative like ‘The Vinci Code’ do to humanity?
'Humanity' -
Small word have deep meaning . To live life peacefully in the world with co - existence Humanity must be there. But, Unfortunately we all are
taught so many things except Humanity by
society, by different institutions and mostly by religions. It's only talk about
it , It never allows people to apply in practical life with their conservative
mind set and putting hard seeds in mind from the childhood.
All
Three books harms to 'Humanity ' giving
wrong message or never interrelating the symbols to those who are unable to
understand the particular things with assured aspects.
'Bible' does same things in society. Bible says that
Men are privilege over Women. Fall of
Adam is the fault of Eve. Means..... Fall of Man is considered as the fault of
women. She is blamed without her blunder or any reason. Means... If there is
pain , suffering and any king of agony in man's life , there is the mistake of
women. It is the degradation of Humanity to consider Female as only the reason
behind Fall.
' Paradise
Lost' established the 'Role division of Man and Women in the society'. No doubt, Milton gives the space to both Adam
and Eve but Eve is described with nature of Argumentative. It creates the harm of Humanity to depict that
Women's argumentative nature leads to evil end so never argue with them. Eve wins in her arguments and gets the
permission to work separately and eat Apple from the Tree. It is just seems
like negative point of view. Argumentations lead to terrible conclusion or end
- that is indirectly described by Milton in the text 'Paradise Lost'. In short,
Woman's thinking and concerns are the Fall of Humanity is depicted by Milton .
Never argue with female and never does the things which is suggested by them. Such things are harm to Humanity in society which
is portrayed by Milton.
'The
Da Vincy Code' - not fully damaged to
HumanityIt also reconstruct the idea of " sacred feminine "
giving the equal right to both male and female. . Though we consider Humanity as Whole in the
novel " The Da Vincy Code", at some extent it also harm to Humanity hiding
the secret of Holy Grail and not reveal the secret of history of Christianity.
Protagonist and Antagonist both are emerged when reader read them with meticulous way and having
some kind of sympathy and disgust for them in mind. The same thing happens in
each text. And here it is also applicable .
If we read it
without consideration of a
British Historian - Sir Leigh Teabing's motifs , it seems like that the
protagonist of the novel is The professor of Religious Symbology- Robert
Langdon. But, We do reading with atheist perspective - Sir Leigh Teabing's motifs, he will emerge
as the protagonist of the novel. He wants to reveal the secret of 'The Holy
Grail' so that people can live life without fear and more happily.
There is the vast different between
Robert Langdon and Sir Leigh Teabing. Teabings motifs are more clear than
Robert Langdon. Robert's journey seems like pilgrimage because he bows down to
see Sarcophagus of Mary Magdalene though
he is the professor of Religious Symbology. He accepts the idea of
existence of God. He keeps secret as secret
whereas secret must be revealed according to Sir Teabing's view.
"If you
want to liberate the freedom of Humanity , Secret must be revealed beacuse Humanity is under the Christianity."
-
Sir Leigh Teabing
Thus, Sir Leigh Teabing claim the
position of protagonist if we do atheist reading of the Novel " The Da
Vinci Code."
Thank You.
