Really, it was excellent session. She satrted with question - who we (women) are ? At first we are daughter, Sister, wife, Mother ..... સ્વની ઓળખ શું ? Woman's self or her identity is always defined by male. The most relevent point is that it is much realitic and became the public voice. She used the word #Second citizen of the house or Society for women that time I remembered or connect the dots mentioning the concept of 'The Second Sex' which was given by Simone de Beauvoir. She dealt with the issues of sexual harassment and where do we stand ? It is much interesting that she gave #Feminist voice in the programme.
Silence must be broken when it is necessary and she also gave much examples of day to day life which is already known to us but we avoid it as normal part of the society. She also takled about ICC -International Complaints Committee which is complusory in each organization or institutions. As we are student of literature and as i know the feminist approach I fully enjoyed the session of her because she gave the examples of textbooks which are in syllabus and programming of our mind from our childhood. How our subconscious mind is programmed gradually and then after we don't know that we are working with invisible command. That time I remembered the class when we discussed about conditioning of mind and how it very well functioned without knowing. राम खीर खा ।
सीता काम कर । She support that clothes were never problem but thoughts are.
