'Man Of the Curtain' why not 'Women Of the Curtain' ?
Just yesterday I came across the news of the new experiment of Japanese system projects Realistic shadow of Moving Men on Window curtains to protect women living alone. It is said that Leo Palace 21 aptly gave name to it 'Man On the Curtain'.
Nodoubt this news is the pleasant news for the ordinary people who thinks that women should be saved or even many women are also happy to read this news because they all are raised under the dominant structure of society. Many women also think that it is necessary to have someone like "He" to save her.
I am surprised because the most technologically advanced nation - Japan in the whole world also have same attitude towards women. After reading this news i just read some of the pages of Women in Japan (history and role of women and Gender role) from various sources and then jump to the conclusion that Somethings to remain the same for women all over the world.
It is an ingenious system that use in any smartphone to project full motion silhouettes of men on window curtains to deter criminals targeting women who live by themselves.
After learning various theories and critical examination, my mind is not ready to accept this news as easy
as others do. As many people think that India is only country where women have to suffer and face problems. This news is the evidence that all over the world the conditions of women remain same. Almost all countries believe that women must be saved and protected. Why Man has to protect the women and from whom that is the biggest questions but nobody ask such in the society.
'Language speaks us rather we speak a language.'
Men are showing on the project to do Yoga, Boxing and Dumbbells, etc. Means showing such activities on the project they shows man's physical strength and masculinity on the curtain. Why women are not showing to do same actions on the screen or why man are not doing other household things on screen? Language which is used in this news it doesn't belongs to women but to a masculine social order so it automatically subvert female identity.
It is culturally or traditionally belief that women are the responsibility of Man. Women should be protected as they are treated inferior in the society. The the important question is who treats them as marginalized or inferior? Women are not given equal opportunities and equal space which creates the fear in the mind.
The conditioning of mind is responsible for such various ideas to save women because they all are brought up with the same ideology that women are not able to sustain and live their life without the help of man.
Why company created only 'Man of Curtain' why not 'Women of Curtain' even in the 21st century, the world best technical country is also ruled over with the same attitude and same dominant ideology.
Why it is necessary to have the presence of male in the house? Women can manage all things by themselves but power structure and male dominant society never want to make them free and keep generating the fear in mind.
Women are able to face reality need not to live in illusion that there is someone who can protect them. Women are brave enough to protect themselves. People must enhance their thinking capacity and also implied it into practical life. Who gives the right man to protect women. Having the male body is the certificate to protect the women? Being human begins one must accept the human dignity of all.
Eagerly waiting young modern and healthy Mindset for the healthy society to remove such wrong notions for different gender which is existed in the society. There will be no need of such technical saviour if we follow the equity in real sense.
Leo Palace 21 doesn't have any plans to make Man on the Curtain commercially available in the near future.(Viva SoraNews24)
There are very few who can think like that. Specially the students of literature know the things because they learnt the theory of feminism, subaltern, etc. Absolutely the change is important but very few can understand this point, so it is very difficult to see the society with that understanding...
