William Blake was largely unrecognized during his life time. The poem 'The Fly' is taken from the ' Songs pf Experience' - the collection of the poems, which was published in 1794.
William Blake was born on 28 November,1757 in England.
About poem:
In the first stanza, the poet revels a story of an experience in which he accidentally rushed away life of free and innocent creature -'The Fly'. Poet considers the deeper meaning of this action. Blake question's worth of human existence through the comparison between our importance and the objects.
The Fly as symbol, represents the questions like....

As human persives thought about the death, the fly doesn't have any understanding about what death means. Therefore, The fly can live life in moment without any anxiety about the next moment and death. Poet wants to have a this quality as fly has.
How do we considere as unimportant of someone?
Why we have a thought less heart which can be ignored someone's existence?
Analysis of the poem:
At the beginning of the poem, poet brushed away the fly with thought less hand without thinking about it. Poet constanlty wonders and thinks about the differences between his life style and of the fly.
Poet further explains how fly is living life without worry about the next moment of the life. As the living creatures both need to do their struggle to survive their own life but without any anxiety.
Further Poet, William Blake asks who is happier? Blake calls it strength and breath or someone who just lives life without worrying it.
This poem is considered about the difference about man and creature. The Fly has no fear of death so poets wants the same quality which Fly consists to live happy life.
