                                     Uncle Tom’s Cabin is the best novel of Harriet Beacher Stowe. It is story of slavery -  African people who are not considered as human beings. The novel divided into 26 chapters and each chapter has its own pain and suffering. No doubt , the central figure of the novel is Uncle Tom who is  portrayed as  the most generous , kind and gentle in the whole novel.
            

             Reading the novel , readers feel their pain and compassion also. Mrs. Harriet Beacher Stowe describe the condition of African American People who is considered as Black and Slave. White people believe that Black are not human beings . They have no heart, no feelings and emotions. White thinks that they have right to rule over them.
            
            Tom suffers a lot with family. Mostly the things that they can’t live with their family .  because they are sold my times as things in auction. The same way , Uncle Tom is sold many times and has to work with different owners.  In this novel, we find post-colonial aspects.


            Characters like…….. George , Tom, Eliza, Eva, Hilly, Jim, Lezzy, Rosy,  Topsi and so many others. But……Tom’s family suffers a lot.    


                        Uncle Tom wants to  abolish of the slavery system. He does everything for that what he can do. Tom scarifies his life for other slaves and always helps to other without any kind of fear. He has strength  to say right things with firm decisions to owners. He has great value of life and never accept slavery from the heart. He also says that…………


“ I am slave of you with my physical body not my soul.”


            He knows the real meaning of humanity rather than the white. He gets the Enlightenment of the soul. Everyone is happy with Tom. But Tom is suffering from the pain inside. He sacrifices so many things for the movement of abolishment of slavery. Uncle Tom suffers  and sacrifices so many things even his family , and though he lives a life with great passion till the death.


            Because of Uncle Tom’s kindness , gentleness , slaves are free after the death of Uncle Tom’s. African American people gets their right and free from all bondage of their owners. Uncle Tom established the meaning of the Humanity. He bears all those things for the sake of others. He wants to be free to all from this kind of life – that is not actual life. Blacks are treated as animal , not given enough food etc… and so many other things give much pain to Uncle Tom.

             But…….. At the end Uncle Tom is succeed in his great aim to give good and free life to black . He does this with great passion. Till the death , he attempts to free other people from the slavery. And after the death , he succeed  to do.  George also says that…………..

Always remember Tom because he had given sacrifice for them- His wife , children, too.!”

અનુભવોનું અકળ પાત્ર - અખેપાતર Bindu Bhatt is well known Gujarati writer. 'Akhepatar' (1999) have awarded the 'Sahitya Akademi Award' for the 2003. Gandhi  Ni Kawad                             - Harindra Dave             One of the most famous Gujarati writer - Harindra Dave writes so many novels, Plays, essays and poetry also. " Gandhi Ni Kawad" is  written by Harindra Dave. "This novel is X- Ray image of our society."             Title of the novel is very symbolic.
